Remember how deep of holes we were in from 2010-2014?

This year, we've had a ton of scares just like that.

April 5, 0-1
April 8, 1-1
April 10, 1-2
April 11, 2-2
May 10, 15-15

The rest of the season, we have been over .500

To be honest, if anyone told me that this team would be 26 games above 500 at this point of the season I would have laughed.

Two months ago I stated that I thought the Cubs would probably not get into the playoffs. I simply figured that this young a team wouldn't be able to maintain this kind of pace. I am ecstatic in saying I was wrong.

These are great games, important games even if we don't go any farther than the wildcard game. These games give young guys experience in tough situations and turn young players into young veteran players. This will do nothing but pay dividends over the next five years.

I can actually look at this team and say, 'Yeah, there is a World Series Champion here'. It's been 12 years since I thought that.
