Would you play Gasol in the preseason?

Why not? Preseason for the most part are like practice squad scrimmage level games and you know he's going to be practicing with the team in camp.

I wouldn't give any projected starter more than 20 minutes a game in the preseason unless I had some playbook and chemistry concerns.

He's gonna play like 12 minutes a game and probably sit out a couple, so not really a big deal.

I would play him minimum minutes. Just enough minutes to get him back in the swing with the Bulls and the new game plan before the regular season starts.

Since Hoiberg wants to play and up tempo offense, How is Gasol going to fit in with that. He thrived at the Thibs pace but now? I really hope that Noah and Gibson are going to be healthy because they are both athletes and can run the court. Gasol? Not so much.

Can't play up tempo all game long.

Sure he has to play in the pre-season. They have to figure out Hoiberg's system, right? As an aside, though....I think Gasol and Mirotic playing so many minutes together for Spain should help the Bulls and particularly Mirotic in that system. Both are very smart basketball players and I am sure that Mirotic is learning a lot from gasol.

That is true which is why I think Hoiberg's intent to run quite a bit is kind of exaggerated. You've got to have the horses to run and they are not deep enough in the back court to do it most of the game.

Bulls need to do something. Cant have another year of Hinrich.

I saw some clips of them at practice and Hinrich popped in the screed. I was sadly reminded that he is still on the team. Surely we can do better? Alas, we cannot. As Bulls fans we signed a contract with the devil to have Hinrich be on the team for the next 99 years.
