I agree, it is a bigger sample size. The NL leaders had the chance to play many more BAD teams than their AL counterparts. That's another reason why you can't settle on record for the better team.

The Cubs could very well be the best team in baseball, but record isn't a way to determine that as currently constituted.

It's hard to argue w/Maddons' comments yesterday regarding making this a 3-game set...doesn't seem fair that 1 team who would most likely beat either Mets or Dodgers should have their season end tonight.

Just because everything dictates it will be a low scoring first run, sudden death type of game....it'll be an 8-7 game just because just like there's no crying in baseball...there is also no predicting it either.
