Yeah -- same here.

Honestly, I figured he'd go to Seattle...reuniting w/ Pete Carroll...

He wouldn't even be able to get the nod over no thrown pass Charlie Whitehurst for backup in Seattle... Shaub was healthy to play all games and only missed a bit of a game last year, I think he'll give Leinhart time this year.

Thought he was going to be a legend, I hope he does succeed elsewhere.

This
I loved him too much at USC to bear seeing him completely bottom out in the NFL

I too was one of those people that loved him at USC and couldn't wait to see what he was able to do in the NFL. I didn't think he was going to be a superstar at the next level so to speak, but he was one of the college QB's that I was very interested in seeing take the next step. He was familiar with a pro-style system, and seemed to make decisions on the field that made the most of his abilities and made up for his lack of arm strength. Looks like we see now just how valuable Reggie Bush and those USC receivers were to him.

I don't like Leinart, but i didn't want to see him not be succesful at the next level and hope he can find succes somewhere. I think this is actually a good signing for the Texans Schuab has injury problems even though he didn't get hurt last year, there is the history. He would be a good backup because he is so accurate and doesn't turn it over alot (at least he didn't this preseason.)
