Ballard visits Bears (RB)

Free agent RB Vick Ballard worked out for the Bears on Tuesday.

Alonzo Harris, who was cut by the Packers after CurfewGate, also tried out on Tuesday. Ballard showed promise as a rookie in 2012 but injuries and ineffectiveness have limited him to just one game over the last three seasons. If the Bears sign him, he'll provide depth behind Matt Forte, Jeremy Langford and Ka'Deem Carey.

Odd or just special teams/emergency list - season's almost over though? :thinking:

Sounds odd. Not happy with the guys for next year they have and just kicking tires? Maybe they don't think they can or don't want to keep Forte? And/or they are unsure about Langford or Carey? Though, clearly, neither of these guys are a solution to any top of the depth chart concerns.
