Wording is important here.

Strain is indicative of a muscular injury.

Sprain means there has been damage to ligaments.

id have to glance at the roster again, but isn't it already guard heavy? I know Pau was close to making it already, and im sure the league would prefer to have Chicago represented in the game for viewing/$$ reasons. just a thought

Pau was close in voting by fans. Coaches pick reserves and they don't care about how the fans voted.

I just don't see it being Pau with other more deserving options out there.

im not saying he is most deserving by any means. but his reputation and obvious popularity(he got more votes from fans than jimmy did even) I think could influence things a bit. then you look at the east roster and the only real bigs on it are bosh and Drummond so it makes sense from a roster standpoint too since the west has guys like cousins, davis, and Aldridge to deal with

Assuming he was picked using the guard spot I imagine they'll replace him with a guard. I could see them picking Kyrie for all we know.

Jimmy Butler to miss 3-4 weeks

butler_bulls_free_agency.jpg

The news just keeps getting worse for the struggling Chicago Bulls. The team announced via a press release that shooting guard Jimmy Butler will miss 3-4 weeks with a left knee strain. Butler suffered the injury in Friday's loss in Denver as he landed awkwardly on his leg. He had to be wheeled off the court. With the Bulls losing 12 of their last 17 games, they have now dropped to the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference. They are coming off a road trip in which they went 2-5 as the frustrations are starting to mount.Without a healthy Butler, this team could be in some serious trouble before a much-needed NBA All-Star break. The injury also means that Butler will not participate in Sunday's All-Star Game in Toronto. The Bulls will host the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday before taking the midseason break.

Let's just go 0-9 during those games. In fact...let's just go like 0-31 to end the year.

A starting lineup of Kirk/Moore/Dunleavy/Portis/Bairstow should get the job done!

Dougie's been playing too good also. Let's just use Snell.
