I will tack on Horse Thief Hollow on the southside of Chicago.... it is right near the border with Oak Lawn or Evergreen Park.

They brew some solid beers and make some really good BBQ IMO.

If you have not tried them, you should.

Thanks, I'll check them out!

Revolution - now that you can buy their beers in stores I don't see much reason to go to the brewpub unless they have something special on tap. Too many bros and hipsters when I've been there.

Rev taps a new beer every Wednesday and taps a one-off every Thursday.

Thanks, I'll have to keep an eye out - I've usually been there on a weekend. Maybe the keg had blown by then.

That's at the taproom, not the pub by the way. The one offs go super quick.

These local beers are good but pretty proud of themselves. For what they charge I'd rather have Guinness.

Spent a good portion of Saturday in Michigan City for the Shelf Ice Brewer's Fest. Really nice layout, and who could beat the weather? It was mainly beers from Indiana, with a few thrown in from Michigan and Illinois for good measure. I always like these things because of how much new things you can try. Revolution, Founders, and Bell was there, but why bother going there when you can get a lot of their stuff anywhere? Founders was actually gone by the time we got there, so I don't know if they actually even showed up. What was great is that most beer fests I've gone to have a set amount of tickets, but this one was unlimited. Some highlights:
Lafeyette Brewing Company: Big Boris Barleywine
New Holland: Hoptronix
Deer Creek: Cinnamon Bear
Zorn Brew Works: We, the People and Snowball Scottish Ale
Goshen Brewing Company: Boondocking and Che Fico
Crown Brewing Company: The Dude White Russian Java Porter
The Devil's Trumpet Brewing: My Ghetto
Taxman Brewing Company: Tax Holiday

Burn 'Em Brewing, which actually was hosting an after party so we stopped over there for awhile. If you mean Burnt City on Lincoln, then no.
