Signing Pau would have worked out a lot better if Noah was still healthy and a force on defense/on the glass, but Noah quickly became a shell of his former self and the Bulls never replaced Asik so they don't have a second, big bodied, physical rebounding/defensive presence down low. Our greatest strength (physical and athletic front court players with length) quickly became our biggest weakness. This is why many of us were perplexed when the Bulls passed on a couple of big men for the likes of Tony Snell. This team lost its toughness and somewhere along the way they just stopped giving a shit. You saw it last year against Cleveland in game 6 and last night against the Knicks....adding to about 15 other similar type losses/efforts this season. They're playing like a team that knows they're simply not good enough and they lack the competitiveness or will to battle through it. There was simply no sense of urgency from them last night until about 8 mins in the 4th qtr. Garpax needs to blow this team up already.

The FO bowed down to Pau. First they forced Noah to play PF, instead of allowing him to continue being a top NBA Center. Then, they forced Noah into a backup role behind Pau.

Signing Pau was a mistake.

It certainly didn't work out the way they envisioned. The alternative wouldn't have been much better though. The real problem is Noah was no longer a DPOY type player after we signed Pau. Last year he was playing on 1 knee and this year he barely played. If the signing was a mistake, it was only a (hopefully) 2 year mistake for a team who would have sucked anyways.

The Boozer-Noah combo trumps the Gasol-Gibson combo. Just does.

No debating that. The plan however was to have DPOY caliber Noah and Gasol. That combo would have been better than all of em. Unfortunately, Noah has been a shell of his old self. Hopefully, the FO realizes re-signing Pau will truly be a mistake. Need to get younger, tougher, and more athletic in the front court. Number one priority.
