This is a different Bears GM than we have ever had and it is nice to see.

Will jump up but not overpay to get a player he wants and will trade down when similarly graded players are available and get good value.

Drafting all sides of the ball (remember that decade the Bears didn't draft OL in the middle rounds)

You can see in his second year how much more precise his draft plan has become with how he values players.

My favorite teams
  1. Colorado Rockies
  1. Atlanta United FC
  1. Los Angeles Lakers
  2. Orlando Magic
  3. Phoenix Suns
  4. Sacramento Kings
  1. Columbus Blue Jackets
Worst GM in the NFL thinks there is great value in the 4th round. No production from his draft last year and this year isnt looking any better

Plan??? I would not call this a plan. I don't think any of this was planned.

I don't really think this was planned out, Green Bay traded up one spot in front of us and stole Spriggs and Pace panicked

trading down is not panicking...overdrafting a player is panicking

I just think the two players we wanted after the first trade down went right before our pick, That led to the second trade down. IMO

Today was a great day for Pace. He trades down 15 places in the 2nd round, picks up 3 4th round picks in the process, and still gets the best guard in the draft with his 2nd round pick. That is honestly amazing. Obviously, you have to hit on those 4th round picks, but on paper, that is a really great day. Gotta target the secondary tomorrow.

I wouldn't call it a plan. The draft never goes according to plan. I would just say that Pace knows what he is doing and understands how the draft works.

I don't know why you guys keep responding to him. He's obviously just trying to get people all riled up and you're falling for it.

As for the draft, I went through a completely meaningless emotional rollercoaster with the picks but I think I'm pretty happy right now, especially with all the extra picks we got. I'd say the Whitehair pick is more of a sign of how they feel about Grasu instead of Slausen. Our line looks pretty respectable on paper right now.
