In the mod forum planning your ban
It would be incredibly obtuse to believe Cutler's horrid history against the Packers hasn't contributed to the fact the Bears have only gone to the playoffs once in the 7 years Cutler has been their QB.

Thread is about comebacks, Spartan

the problem with the bears is for whatever fucking reason the last 10 years they haven't managed too put together a solid team for shit

defense is good? sure but the offense is a trash heap....offense gets good the defense falls off a fucking cliff ...goddammit its tough too be a bears fan sometimes
I don't recall a Cutler led offense being any good at all except for that year a QB journeyman outplayed him by a country mile. I've seen QBs do way better with less talent on offense so when you say offense is a trash heap you're really making a knock against Cutler.

Who fumbled it in the end zone? The fault lies not in our stars but in Jay Cutler.

"In the hands of the Bears best player, Jay cutler"- John Lynch.

Re watch the game buddy. Go watch the last 8 mins off game. Mediocre cutler lmao

U mad he's back again this year!?

Jay Cutler has never been the Bears best player. Maybe Mr.Lynch was paid to say that or inebriated at the time.

As Spartan said, Cutler gave up a fumble for a TD and the defense shut out KC out in the second half. Managing to mitigate his sucking with a 4th qtr TD should be viewed as "the least he could do", rather than the chosen narrative by Desbro of "baller Cutler won the game".

Cutler's history speaks for itself. Both in terms of success and statistics he's been a career mediocre-to-average player.

Here you are again, defending Cutler in a thread started by a poster you have already told us is trolling.

Baller cutler did win the game. I just posted the whole game a few posts up. John Lynch was drooling over Jay's play. Dude was balling it out.

Just cut the shit. Jay won that game.
You are such an extreme minority to even state he didn't it's mindblowing.

What's comical is they act like this is some sign that Cutler is not at fault and does his part, when the fact is he doesn't do his part most of the time. Hell Vinny Testeverde is #8 on the list, does that mean he was great? No just means that when playing freely he does better when defenses tend to sag off and try to prevent getting beat deep. Cutler has always shown flashes and his abilities allow him to do just that...but fact is, he always finds himself hanging around 18-20 ranked passers in the league.

From article Sept 2015:

Cutler will beat bad teams, he'll play ok against average teams, but he'll lose against good teams. Sure there are a few outlier games through the years, but generally speaking this is what you get with Jay.

First for comparisons sake, here are his overall career numbers, including playoffs.

62W-60L (.508), 2,429 completions, 3,949 attempts (61.5%), 28,329 yards, 186 touchdowns (4.7%), 132 interceptions (3.3%), 85.0 passer rating

Now here are his numbers in the 13 games against the Packers.

1W-12L (.077), 243 for 424 (57.3%), 2,986 yards, 16 TDs (3.8%), 24 Ints (5.7%), 66.1 passer rating

And finally here are his numbers against every other team in the NFL.

61W-48L (.560), 2,186 for 3,511 (62.3%), 25,342 yards, 170 TDs (4.8%), 108 Ints (3.1%), 87.4 passer rating

As expected, his overall stats receive an uptick when taking out Green Bay, but the numbers still paint a picture of a middle of the road QB.

Saying all this does not mean he has not had some "clutch" moments, because he has.

Never mind, enjoy arguing.

Fact is Jay's the quarterback again this year. A top 12 qb in the NFL and will be leading the Chicago Bears to the playoffs this coming season.

Yes.
Did you know: Jay Cutler is apparently a monster at throwing 4th quarter/OT game-winning TDs - 6 shy of the record

But he isn't a top 12 QB.

Hell I don't think he's even been a top 12 QB in any single season, far less overall.

A better argument is whether or not he's a top 20 QB right now.
