Bad move. Too much pressure on the kid.

#45 doesn't seem very marketable.

Hmm. 45....4+5 is 9.. 9 flipped is 6....6 is less than 9... so 69 confirmed. Valentine's number when he is traded to the Knicks.

People really make too much out of this.

Denzel played with this number bevore and decided to keep it. End of story.

Funny it hasn't been a topic when Rasual Butler wore it couple of years ago.

And what was Kirk Hinrich thinking wearing #12? Lol.

As if Bulls fans don't have bigger problems to worry about these days...

MJ does have some epic and memorable moments in 45. Double knickel against the Knicks, the buzzer beater in Atlanta. Of coarse 45 is gonna hold a place in the hearts of Jordan fans. While he only wore it for a couple of months, he still wore it as a permanent number.

The Knicks game would be in MJ's Top 5 greatest games and it was in the #45

You know I have never thought about this topic, but making Michael Jordan the first athlete with TWO numbers retired for a single franchise is not the worst idea ever.

Too much Jordan disrespect in this thread.

why should 45 be retired? it was seen as a weakness for Jordan. "i couldn't do that to #23" that statement alone should be enough to forget Jordan ever wore 45.

now Kobe on the other hand is different as he was great and won championships in both, but i bet they only retire #24 and #8 will just be unofficially retired.

Does it really matter? 23 holds more weight than 45 to be honest. If Valentine turns out great, let him keep it. S'not that big of a deal if you make it, y'know?

That's not news. What Fred said at the PC is the real news.

"I'm really excited about the players we're bringing in on this trade. Brook Lopez, a guy I think very highly of...."
