Yeah baby. 6 runs again. Finally the Cubs offense is back. But we do need Fowler back ASAP...:) The Cubs have a great record when scoring 5 or more runs and again. Hendricks looks strong. I think the ASB is exactly what this team needed. Everyone looks so healthy and the team looks great today.

Other pitchers could pitch today and change this but at 2.41 ERA Hendricks now has the 3rd best ERA in baseball. What a time to be alive.

A few thoughts.

1) Hail Szcur. Szcur is a top 5 player in all of MLB. It goes Trout, Harper, Bryant, Szcur and then Rizzo.

2) Hendricks' floor is Greg Maddux's ceiling.

3) God damn the All-Star break came at a good time.

Who's this Harry Carey dude? He's kind of annoying...

Yeah, bad recognition. He's trying to glove everything whether he can reach it or not. Needs to work on keeping the ball in front of him.

The kids brought the gloves today.

Nice win! Two tough pitchers back to back for this series

Another day of prescient lineup analysis by you.

The crazy thing about his statement is that Russell has an .858 OPS in his last 30 games. He was one of the bright spots during the slump. Sometimes I think Mr. Egg is watching different games.

All I can say is: lean on Edwards right now. He is looking like the missing piece

It's kind of poetic to see Hendricks, Edwards and Grimm all shut down their former team.

He's a stud. I would definitely lean on him but we still need another arm.

Joe Nathan: the Resurrection.

Cahill on DL. Guess he has been pitching with a bum leg for a little while. Makes sense why he was not effective recently now. Richard back from finger blister. Hope that is all it was that was effecting him also.

Grandpa back from 7 day DL. Funny man back to AAA. Minor move. Doubt Grandpa catches out side of Lester and Lester may want Contreras' bat in the Mets series.
