Season starts today. Time to get refocused. Rangers can hit, but have been sliding back down to Earth like I thought they would. Should be a good series.

I'm just thankful Fowler should be back soon. Also if Soler gets back in the next two weeks or so, maybe we can get him in a groove by mid-August. We need to be full strength (well, minus Babe) by end of September.

I'm happy Arrieta is going to get two weeks off. He's going to need it.

They said Joe likes Baez and Russell up the middle when Hendricks pitches. I would guess a lot of balls go that way and he wants more range.

Hendricks picked up Contreras with that past ball. Nice to not allow the runner to cross home plate on 3rd and less than 2 outs.

Of course he does. He's a rich man's Greg Maddux. We'll see how things shake out at the dead line but he's definitely the #4 starter come playoff time.

Hendricks is one of the more extreme ground ball guys at 51.1% this year. Having 2 guys with the range of Russell and Baez would play well with that I think is the idea.

I like the idea of Hendricks moving up in the rotation. With some of our big names struggling to make it past the 5th and 6th inning, would be nice to see Hendricks give the bullpen some rest. Not necessarily the game comming off of the break, but from now on in genereal.

Joe Nathan close to call-up. Looked good in his first AAA appearance. Could be a good impact player down the road.
