I think it's been said the 3 hawks names were rejected by the board already.

Nighthawks was the best one, but it would of been more amusing if to get around having two teams called the Hawks, they could say shorthand call them the Nights, and work around the failure to get the Knights or BlackKnights name.

According to that, it was Knights that was rejected by the board, despite being what ownership favored.

Yeah that's what I read too, that everything other than the *hawks stuff was rejected.

Really, seriously? Heard this on the Radio, announcers were quite miffed as well. Can't they come up with something original? Heck the Nevada Test site isn't far away, how about the " Fall Outs" with a little mushroom cloud logo. >mutters<
