I do like the Baez at 3B, Bryant in LF and Heyward in RF. Pads have a big OF so we should see some gap hits.

Need the legs tonight boys.

Improvement for Heyward with the rest

He pulled the ball more, so instead of 4-3 Heyward he'll be 3 Heyward

Russell is well on his way to 20 HRs as a 22 year old. I remember there being some debate when I suggested he had 20-25 HR power. Overall, he's rather quietly turning into a really great hitter. He's at .249/.335/.436 all of a sudden. Still has some work to do with his K rate around 23% and him struggling to hit lefties for average(.218) but it's easy to envision him being quite the full package both offense and defense.

Magic number down to 27

The series in Colorado helped. Hopefully for you all he sustains this for the rest of the season.

I've said this a few times but it would not surprise me to see Russell develop into the best of our young guys.

Better than Bryant and Schwarber. He'll never put up offensive numbers like those guys but he's a gold glove-caliber defender.

I'm with you, although I don't he'll be better than Bryant. I've been saying for a long time that Russell has an MVP season in him at some point. He's 22, I can't wait to see him at 25.

Pump the brakes. Russell has a looong way to go before he does enough offensively to catch up to Bryant's overall value. So long that he will almost certainly never get there.

No, as I said I seriously doubt he'll ever get to Bryant territory but by 25 a .285/.350/.495 slash with 25 HR would not shock me. Russell still has some filling out to do and he is going to get stronger.
