For all his struggles tonight, getting through that 5th with the score 3-2 ends up being an acceptable start.

He hurt himself with all the walks, but 3 runs isn't as bad as it could have been.

As has been said a million times - including a few times by me - IT IS A PLEASURE LISTENING TO VIN SCULLY.

All the games I watch with the Cards' announcers who are flat out horrible, as well as many so-so guys around baseball, makes Vin that much more enjoyable.

Even his errors don't bother me. (Said Bryant hit 16 HRs last year and Fowler came to the Cubs this year.) But what a calm, BS-free broadcast!

Terrible AB's from most everyone tonight....that's how you let mediocre pitching beat you.

In his second year, Kris is just a beast. I can't believe the Cubs have players like Bryant, Rizzo, and Russell. Everything the Cubs management did, it mostly came out roses. Hendry gave away minor leaguers for aging players. Now the Cubs young players in their prime. I'm excited to see this team compete year after year like the Red Sox, Yanks, Giants, and Braves during their prime years.

These cubs are nowhere near being in their prime. Lackey and Hammel are probably just passing theirs, Lester is in his, Rizzo is close, but Bryant, soler, baez, Russell, Schwarber have not even started sniffing their prime.
