Just when it looked like Shaw could challenge Cutler for the starter's job, he goes down with a bad leg injury. It just figures. Another sudd7 day for the franchise.

How could you expect a serious answer to your initial post? Do you really believe Shaw was challenging Cutler for his starting job? If so that may be the reason your're not being taken seriously. We have bigger issues than our QB. Our DB's are whats worrying not our 3rd string QB. lol?

Shaw may not have challenged Cutty but he surely was challenging Hoyer for the backup spot and would have locked up a spot on the PS for sure. He was a breath of fresh air in what has been a dismal preseason. It looked like Fales was the odd man out. Now, that all changes.

I would like the Bears to take a new direction at QB as badly as anyone, but Shaw was no where close to challenging cutler for his starting spot.
