The Vikings just called off practice after 25 minutes, when Teddy Bridgewater went down on a non-contact play.... http://es.pn/2bzUmye

Bad scene. Bridgewater down in pocket grabbing left knee. Players freaked out, swearing and praying. Immobilized. Practice halted #Vikings

Even though they are a rival that really sucks for them. QB injuries before the season opener just take the wind completely out of everyone's sails knowing you are doomed to a losing season.

Not that bridgewater was a world beater or anything, but with defense and a running game the Vikings had a shot.

Got me by a minute. Remove my thread @Urblock

I hope to God he's okay. Don't need any excuses from the Vikes when we get that 1-1 split with them.

Agreed. Who is their backup? I thought they had a real shot to win the division and maybe even the NFC, if Teddy played well.

Awful news if true. Hate to see players possibly have years/careers derailed.

Twitter saying ambulance pulling up at field.

Does not sound like he is okay. Sucks big time. Sounds really bad, media ordered out of the practicce and players are upset.

That sucks. I wanted them to take the division again over the slackers when the Bears stumble down the stretch. They will actually improve in the passing department in terms of yardage, big plays, and tds now that Teddy is out, but probably more turnovers

yep, ambulance on the scene. Terrible. Shaun Hill is the backup QB.

Pardon my ignorance, but why would you need an ambulance on the field for a knee injury? Don't they usually just cart you off?

That really, really sucks for Bridgewater.

Don't think there's anything much more frustrating as a football fan than seeing your franchise QB suffer what certainly looks like a serious injury.

You usually don't unless it is a break, but this was non contact. Whole thing is weird we will have to wait and see.
