Never heard of him. On paper, sounds like a nice pick up, but injuries...so, I'll hold out my hopes.

Thats a pretty crappy reason.

Sometimes I feel like I don't understand fans and franchises. At times they act like players are pussies for not playing through injury *cough* Cutler *cough* Alshon *cough* and at other times they sympathize with an injured player refusing to play through injury.

If he had a doctor tell him that he had bone spurs and needed surgery, then I think the guy probably should file a lawsuit to get his salary back as well as damages. I had bone spurs in my neck that finally resulted in a neck fusion. Let me tell you that the pain from those spurs was incredible. I was literally popping Vicodin and scotch on a regular basis.

I don't think he could sue because you can cut someone for no reason at all.

What kind of scotch?

Solid pick up.

He was very good for the Browns in the slot over the last 2 seasons.

This could allow the Bears to put Fuller on PUP let his knee really heal and to move Callahan outside in the meantime.

NO. This is not how PUP works. Once you step on the practice/game field, you aren't eligible for PUP.

But yeah, Williams can play. If he's healthy, he allows Callahan to start on the outside til Fuller gets back and he can play the slot.

Bone spur in your neck vs ankle have almost nothing in common. In your neck, can be incredibly serious. In your ankle, may or may not be a real issue. Interesting that it came from an independent doctor, but they don't confirm it through the team doctor. 'Bone spur' can be a generic term used that's easily understandable, but likely doesn't explain the whole story. Regardless, it would likely require an arthroscopic procedure that would be a very quick recovery.. but his ankle may always be somewhat of an issue.

After six weeks on the PUP, a team is allowed to let the player return to the practice field for three weeks to evaluate before making a decision.

The return was not what he was commenting on.

That's not relevant to Fuller, who was the topic of discussion. Fuller is NOT currently on PUP. Fuller CANNOT be placed on PUP, because he has already practiced and played in training camp/preseason. Not eligible to go on PUP.

So best case scenario, Williams can come in and play through the ankle. If not, he's a young guy with upside which we desperately need in the secondary. Sounds like a good waiver claim either way.

The toughest part of The Hawk's neck fusion was removing his head from his asshole.

Kicking the tires on someone who may have a long term injury/recurring ... Pace should just stick to the draft.

Low risk high reward. I'd take that every time at a position in need of depth. Pats do this more than anyone
