Never too early to start talking QB imho and really it should be a whole year evaluation. The Bears absolutely NEED an upgrade at QB if they are ever going to be a true year in year out contender. Throughout the year QBs will rise and fall as will the Bears' draft position. Sooooo…

Who's who? Round 1? Round 2? Who's rising/falling?

Most importantly… Who do you want the Bears to draft? Who is worth a trade up?

Too early...here is who I am watching

I have a feeling the hype on Deshone Kizer has just begun.

1) Deshaun Watson - Clemson
2) Deshone Kizer - Notre Dame
3) Brad Kaaya - Miami
4) Seth Russell - Baylor
5) Chad Kelly - Ole Miss
6) Luke Falk - Washington State

Yea well if you watch ND you know this kid get better every game and I hope he stays in college one more year he is only a sophomore.

the other I am looking at is chad Kelly we will see how he grows this year

but by far Waston is the #1 pick and it his to loose

Watson seems like the #1. Although I barely watch college. Is Rosen the clear cut for 2018 so far?

Kizer is a redshirt, therefore eligible for draft.

yeah, i know nothing about this years QBs, but one thing for certain is id only be interest in guys who are, at the very least, actually asked to read Ds and stand in the pocket and go through progression, if even only on occasion.

Who knows who gets better as the season goes on but Kaaya, Kizer, Watson are looking to be the only guys worth 1st round grades for sure. Kaaya has elite mental processing speed, and Waton and Kizer are pure playmakers that add another dimension to the defensive gameplan

If they declare Mason Rudolph and Luke Falk are lower end 1st/2nd round draft picks. I really like both from mental aspects as pocket passers, and their accuracy, but probably don't have the elite tools that will make them for sure Top 20 picks(In Falk's case he has playing in a Mike Leach offense going against him).

After that is Davis Webb, and Seth Russell who are probably closer to 3rds. Davis Webb big kids with powerful arms will always be draftable. Seth Rusell is an athletic specimen with a strong arm, comes from a wonky Baylor offense though and needs to improve his accuracy.

Wouldn't take Josh Dobbs with anything more than a 5th rounder. Has great tools, but just really hasn't been able to put it together.

Chad Kelly is pureed dumpster juice.

If Kaaya, Kizer, Falk, and Rudolph declare it can be a very nice draft for potential franchise QB's. If not Seth Russell is probably the only guy I'd feel comfortable with out of the Webb, Dobbs, Kelly, Russell group assuming we can't get Kaaya, Kizer, Watson.

How do Watson/Kizer compare to Goff/Wentz?

Already looks like this class is deeper than last.

You're all going to be disappointed when you realize Pace won't draft another quarterback yet. He's not ready to tie his fate to his own pick. You're welcome to quote me on that.

Only exception being if Cutler actually does retire. In which case he won't have a choice in the matter.

Get back to this idea by the half way pint of the college season... see who is rising to the top of the class and who is not. I do think this will b the year the Bears will take a QB no later than the second round.. depending on where they end up.

IMO equivalent. Probably not as prolific of a pocket passer as Goff coming out, but have potential to break the games open in their own way and they've actually shined in huge moments. I think the Rams gave up too much for him for what it's worth(And that's not even based on his preseason play.) I look at Falk and Rudolph and then Goff and I don't feel like Goff was a 1 of a kind guy. Goff has more arm strength than Rudolph or Falk, but essentially I feel they are all close. Wentz is more of that can't miss guy, but he's also more of a wildcard so I'm not too sure about him.

I like the potential 2017 draft class A LOT more than the 2016 draft class.

Did anyone mention JT Barrett or CJ Beathard?

Kizer is actually a junior academically. (RS) Soph football wise.

IMO, better; more upside. But I wasn't hugely high on Goff.

FWIW, I highly doubt Kizer comes out.
