He can, will he I doubt it because he can't play in the ahl next year due to the chl NHL rules. so if he signs he has to stay in the NHL or go back to the ohl again.. which as long as he only plays 9 games he could do. But I don't think he's an instant joiner.

Maybe the only guy out of the prospect who could seemingly do that this year is John Hayden.

I have a lot of hope for that second line of Panarin-Anisimov-Hossa. If that group clicks, then you can reunite Toews with Kane on the top line which should have huge benefits for 19, and having two lethal scoring lines like that will make the Hawks incredibly difficult to defend, especially with the way they can get scoring from the D.

Whatever gets Toews out of Captain Donuts mode and back into a scoring threat would do wonders. Two great scoring lines and an up and coming 3rd line...could mean great things for this year if the combos work out.

That 3rd young guy line could also develop into a scoring threat given some time.... that leaves our 4th line as a shutdown line.... Rass, Kruger, and Tootoo

You still need to move T² to get rid of Bickell--especially since there is not a GM out there who takes Bickell and Runblad of of your hands for peanuts who isn't taking LSD rectally.

Even Kruger as-is (and he has been pretty bad this year thus far) is an upgrade over Bickell.
