Not since the 2012 Lockout has the Chicago Blackhawks fan base had to endure a hockey drought as long as the last five months. It was early in May when we last saw the beloved as they had their quest for a Cup repeat prematurely halted by the raging dumpster fire outside of a meth lab poorly disguised as the St. Louis Blues. Tonight, it is those same degenerates who will stroll into the United Center to kick off the 2016-17 NHL Season, as we get our first look at a Blackhawks team with plenty of depth on defense and plenty of questions among the forwards. The journey begins anew tonight.

Should be a good one tonight. I'll be getting there slightly earlier because I get the feeling that the new form of tickets might be a slight issue and there will be plenty of lines come 6PM tonight. Blues definitely aren't the same team that they were last year...but neither are the Hawks, I suppose. Regardless, should be a good one and hopefully a good start to the season.

Be interesting to see what Yakupov does with the Blows as well as no more Backes.

Both teams have a very different look, So many utes on the Hawks is scary.

I think it's going to be a high scoring affair.
Hawks 6, Blues 5.

I'll be there tonight (hopefully). My father has been very ill with stomach cancer and this is a needed distraction.

My wife's stepfather is going to be on the ice for the anthem on Tuesday versus the Flyers.

Panik-Toews-Hossa
Panarin-Anisimov-Kane
Motte-Kruger-Hartman
Hinostroza-Schmaltz-Tootoo

Haven't seen the D pairings anywhere just yet but keep in mind that Hjammer is suspended for this one.
