Solar should have scored in the eighth or at least hustled from the beginning of that hit, it would have been close. His entire approach makes me think he's a show boat/lazy type player.

In the ninth, how do you not bunt Our runner to second with zero outs?? I don't care who is batting. We were struggling at the plate all series long. They have scored with small ball.

Is anyone else pissed the fuck off that on paper the Indians don't even belong on the same field as we do!!!

They are willing to do whatever it takes to win this series by having starters pitch 2-3 times, Miller pitching in every game, mixed batting lineups, using practically every relief pitcher per game.

It seems like we are a team filled with pre madonnas and we are above playing small ball. It's the playoffs and pitching is tough, we also have to do whatever it takes to win.

There didn't seem to be fight in our guys. They looked deflated tonight and I think it's because schwarber was out of the lineup. Is it me or did the front office answer about schwarber sound like they felt they would be in the World Series the next 5 years thus unwilling to risk his future.

I say fuck that, we have zero guarantees of making back to the series ever again. Look at how long we went in between World Series!

Id be shocked if this team doesnt make another ws in the next 5 years nevermind 108 year! Why exactly doesnt Cleveland belong on the same field as the Cubs? What a naive and arrogant thing to say considering you guys have been shut out 4 times this post season which is the most since the 1905 A`s. Btw its Prima Donna. Pre Maddonna is the era of pop music before Madonna made it big.

Really??? On paper Indians don't deserve to be on same field as cubs? That's a bold statement. The Indians pitching staff is giving the hard earned playoff experience to the cubs deep down you know these kids need. Their bullpen is the deepest bullpen anyone has ever seen. The tribe hasn't lost more than 3 games in a row all year. Think about that for a second. Your cubbies are full of future superstars and perennial allstars but the Indians are a complete team thru and thru and play for each other and do all the little things to a tee.

Trust me bro I've been where u are right now. I went into the 97 MLB world series thinking "The Flordia Marlins have no business being in the WS with the Tribe." Well we all know how that ended up.

Take solace in the two things: there are still 4 games left. And the cubs are absolutely stacked in talent to win it from this point. Remember the tribe still missing Brantley, Carrasco, and Almonte.

The Cubs are better on paper at virtually every position than the tribe. Andrew Miller being the only exception. That's the truth! I understand that a ton of your talent is hurt and that plays a big part in comparison.

It's not a slight on your team, it's just the truth.

In a seven game series that doesn't matter one iota! It's whoever plays better! Up to this point, the tribe has played slightly better.

They have a couple more timely hits and a slight edge in some pitching.

The one thing the tribe does much better than any other team is run and play small ball. That is hokding true in the playoffs as well! Living off power hitting won't usually win 4 games in a seven game series.

Winning 3 out of 4 for the Cubs is going to be near impossible considering the tribe hasn't lost three in a row all season. If any team can do it the Cubs can. They're the best team in baseball, let's hope they can do it!

The tribe is playing harder, sacrificing more and playing better team baseball under the fire of Francona and I will give credit where credit is due.

Actually, they lost 3 in a row 6 times in 2016.

There's a lot wrong with the OP, but the part of not running your ass off until there is certainty is a disgusting trait of this team that Maddon has allowed. It shouldn't be the Cubbie way. It shouldn't be any team's way. It has no part in professional baseball.

That ball was in the right field seats, Soler with a bad hamstring and people are complaining this guy that the majority of fans dont want on this team, let alone playing in the world series, did not get an inside the park home run.

Here I thought this meant Maddoning, like why was Montgomery not brought in to face Crisp? What is the point of lefty specialists if you are not going to use them?

Well, its going to be a beautiful day for a baseball game, too bad they are playing this one tonight.

Maddon addressed Montgomery. He said that if he brings him in, they bring in guyer, & he liked the Edwards/crisp matchup better.

Because of our ability not to hit. Some people were saying last night to give Tomlin credit. Blah! Hit was very hittable. Didn't matter who was pitching. Same old Cubs issues on offense.

They didn't get 5 shutouts against the cubs. Tomlin did not make mistakes last night. Stoltz mentioned this many times in the broadcast. He pitched above his talent level. The entire Indians staff was on point and hitting their spots. The Cubs take way too many first pitch strikes, honestly.

Early in the IGT I said that a ball hit down the right field line has a good chance to blow back in play with the wind. I would think Soler playing RF would have at least been aware of that. He should have known when he hit that ball there could have been a chance that ball comes back. He should have ran harder. Maybe he doesnt make it home, But it would have been been very close. Look at the video.

Anyone who thinks Jorge Soler is capable of an inside-the-park-HR at Wrigley Field has apparently never seen Jorge Soler run at full speed. I get the desire to want to assign blame after a tough loss, but this is just comical.

2 of the 5 shutouts came from the Cubs. And you're wrong about Tomlin not making ANY mistakes last night. He made some. One was a hanging breaking ball over the plate against Rizz that he pop up. The Cubs have done this even during the season where they just could not hit against medicore starting pitching. The offense is very inconsistant.

First pitch staight down broadway, only once did Rizzo swing at it. Everything else had wicked movement. They better be aggressive against Kluber.

Fuck west was at third last night, I cant believe this fucking guy is gonna have the plate game 6 or 7.

Yeah you noticed that too. Rizz jumping on the first pitch. Got a base hit. Agreed, Kluber will be throwing strikes Cubs need to be aggressive.

Aggressiveness has nothing to do with their problem....deep counts is a big reason why they are where they are. Pitch recognition combined with a lot of guessing by the Cub hitters....now there is the problem. Last night was as bad as I've seen it with this team and a big reason they were flailing away at terrible pitches even though they were getting a rather nice strike zone from the plate umpire.
