I don't think anyone in the Hawks' fan base has felt all great about the team's performance in the first eight games of the season, but it certainly feels like it could be worse, couldn't it? They've managed to win half of their games and grab a pity point against Calgary with a shootout loss. The Kings come to town without Jonathan Quick in tow after he suffered an injury that's going to have him out for a good chunk of the season. The Hawks/Kings matchups have often been the best ones that the Western Conference has to offer, but neither team looks like it old self in the early stages of the season.

Insert hopes and prayer for the Hawks' PK here.

Everyone probably watching the Cubs but this has been the Hawks' best performance of the season after two periods.

The only major scare to be scored on came at the last 2 minutes when Campbell's clear bounced off Keith and he boulded over Crawford. Total strong game

Yeah they completely stifled LA. I barely remember any good scoring chances for the Kings.

Too bad some of the Sox fans/Cubs haters can't push their personal shortcomings aside and enjoy baseball instead of watching meaningless hockey,"MLB owns the fall"

Best game/effort of the season. Craw continues to kick ass. Great Hoss pre-game ceremony. He should have given a speech though.
I liked Hoss' gesture to the ref for the "assist" on his goal.

Hawks would be undefeated without the horrid PK and penalties.... if we stay out of the box we are the best team in the Western Conference.

Winning five of their last seven is a pretty good roll, though.
