No one loved that signing more than me. People had qualifiers for it but I knew it was exactly what they needed. Especially when they don't have Fowler next year.

Zobrist only played about 300 innings in the OF this year with
- Heyward falling a cliff in terms of production
- Fowler missing time with a DL stint
- Schwarber playing two games in the OF all year
- Soler having production/health issues
I know people love Javy and the defense but I just don't see Joe putting Zobrist out there that much; it's incredibly taxing on his legs and if you need him to leadoff and all the extra PA that comes with versus batting 4/5, I just don't see it save for a few instances and maybe in the playoffs.
