You want to get Smaltz extra chances on offense, and Hossa helps him do that. Giving him two finishers like that, while Toews gets the workhorse to give him the chaos he thrives in in Hartman, as well as a shifty interesting pairing that makes Toews interesting, imo, because Hino can skate. Toews creates breakaways as well as does some net front, and incredible defense, covering for those rooks a bit.
