The Hawks got back on the proper side of the ledger last night with a come-from-behind win on the road in Smashville. Rest is not an option, as they quickly boarded a flight and flew closer to the coast for a tilt with the Hurricanes. Scott Darling is expected to relieve Corey Crawford after yet another stellar performance last night, and there's reason to believe some shuffling of the D pairings may occur on the second of back-to-back games. Carolina has a little more rest after playing on Wednesday night, a 3-2 loss against Pittsburgh that snapped a 3-game win streak -- although two of those wins came against basement-dwelling Buffalo.

Since uncle Dale was removed of power (even though he allegedly may have it back again) they no longer are the SouthEast Hawks in Florida... Carolina really stole that title starting with Bill Peters of former Icehogs coaching credentials to StalGod, Teuvo, Bicks, Nordstrom, and Leighton.... just sad they no longer have the Rutuu. But they even have Klas Dahlbeck too

Always liked him centering with Desjardins on the wing, and taking faceoff load from him. Then you give them an offensive weapon like Panik and that line could do a bit of everything.

I just wish Forsling could be convinced to go to the ahl. Hell the guy who often has been his linemate the last two years and probably put him on the Hawks radar Carl Dahlstrom is down there playing. But this team has 1 too many need to play guys.
