First game of the season
First game of the season
Surprisingly good game. No one looked that bad out there. I don't hate rondo but when there's not a pass to make he's pretty useless. If they run a p&r and the roll is covered that play is pretty much dead. But I think he's ok for what this team has going on

Didn't get to see the game, what was the chemistry like?
yeah chemistry is much better than last year
i worry about nights when the jumpers aren't falling though
If anybody can reign in Rondo and Butler to a less extent, it's Wade because he commands that respect.
First game of the season. Chemistry for a team with this many fresh faces wont be there. But like I said, we did have good flow with MCW. The minute he came in for Rondo, the rest of the team had an idea where to be on both sides of the court. Now if we could have more shooting accuracy. Something about 3P% being higher than 2P% indicates a lot of panic shots on collapse.
Part of MCW helping a lot, has to deal with Boston's small backcourt. The next game against the pacers will be an entirely different story.

When did Wade learn to shoot 3s?
It was a good game. I'm looking forward to watching how the season plays out.
What I didn't like was how long Niko and Doug were on the court together. During that time Boston made their big run because our defense has been terrible!

Taj looks lean and good again. Also helps next to a power center, with good offensive spacing.
I wonder if the plan is to play the best lineup, or to showcase him and trade him. Either way, he took his off-season seriously you can see that. I expect a freak power dunk to be unleashed soon.
Taj also gained some weight. He was listed at 222 last season and 236 this season.
Wade was bouncing around out there like a kid against Boston. I hope they are mindful of his minutes to keep him somewhat fresh. That game was pretty damn entertaining. Nice start...
I think Niko played too long down the stretch. I know he's there for floor spacing, but he shouldn't be closing out games or playing that many extended minutes in a row. Fred keeps trying to fit him in that role and it's a bad idea, IMO.
