Don't we usually have a fanspeak thread every year around this time? If we don't then we do now fuckers.

http://fanspeak.com/ontheclock/

I did the Bleacher Report-Matt Miller mock.

1) M.Hooker
2) D.Watson--still there at #36 lol
3) J.Butt
4) C.Phillips
4) R.Johnson (OT FSU)
5) C.Stribling (CB Michigan)

I tried the Fanspeak and CBS and M.Garrett was still sitting there at #3 for us but i just don't see that happening.

Didn't pick because my screen was blocked with ads I couldn't get rid of.

but I did notice that the first two picks went

1) Cleveland - Deshaun Watson
2) SF - Jonathon Allen

Did Garrett get shot between now and the draft?

Apparently. I figured he was the first non-QB off the board for sure. I did use the CBS board though, so that may be why it was different.

I don't think there is anyway SF uses their first round pick on another DL. They have a new coach, probably Shanahan, might as well pair him with a QB. I can see CLE passing on a QB before SF does.

They picked Allen when I did it too lol. I took Garrett and Watson! These mocks are so dumb.

Agree. If KS is HC, he's taking a QB at 2! I can see Cleveland taking Garrett 1 and moving up from 12 or trading for JG or signing TT if he's cut. I think 49ers take Trubisky.

Bleacher Report, Fanspeak needs
R1: Malik Hooker - FS OSU
R2: Cam Robinson - OT Bama
R3: Brad Kaaya - QB TheU
R4: Ethan Pocic - C LSU
R4: Isaiah Ford - WR VaTech
R5: Ahkello Witherspoon - CB Colorado
R7: Chunky Clements - DL Illinois

I wasn't excited about drafting Kaaya, but I chose to add the rare talent at FS with Hooker in the first. I'm not sold on many of the QB's in this draft at this point. Why not solidify the OL with 2 of the top OL talents in the draft (Robinson at OT, Pocic at C)? I think the Bears are thinking veteran QB signing in the offseason, instead of drafting one at #3 in the first round.

If Cam Robinson were to somehow fall to the 35th pick, I think he'd make a great RT. He's such a mauler.

Leno - Sitton - Whitehair - Long - Robinson

would be a pretty wicked line. Jordan Howard will run for a million yards and take a lot of pressure off Deshaun in his rookie year :yep:

And with that line... Anyone would have a damn decent chance playing QB.

It would certainly help any QB, for sure. I'd still take Watson, Kizer, Trubisky (in that order) at #3 overall. QB is the last position you want to skimp on.

You're not wrong. Obviously. But I don't think it's all or nothing. Don't think if they don't pass on one at #3 and take one at #35 it could be considered skimping.

Or say they use that draft we quoted, and got Cam at 35 and picked a QB in the third. Behind that line, with that run game, that QB could be successful. Right?
