There may not be a better situation for the Hawks to finally grab two points against the Wild. Minnesota did what they usually do last night, which is win in a 4-2 victory over Winnipeg. But that means they're on the tail end of a back-to-back, and Devan Dubnyk was the one in net last night although he could very well be the guy again tonight. Meanwhile, the Hawks have been relaxing for three days after taking a win from Dallas on Saturday night. If home ice through the divisional playoffs means anything to this team (and it should), this game is essentially a must win. If Minnesota moved to an 8-point advantage while still holding two games in hand, you can probably write off a No. 1 seed for Chicago.

This is about the time of year where games between top teams get that extra bit of energy too them and the phrase "playoff-like atmosphere" gets tossed around. We could be up for one of those games tonight. I expect Minnesota to bring it. The question, of course, is whether or not the Hawks will.

The younger than Kane and Toews Arizona gm and his scouts are at the game tonight. If the Hawks want a trade piece he might get an eye on some of those young NHL players

Considering that this is the only game on the NHL schedule tonight, I'd be careful about reading too much into that. Probably a ton of scouts there tonight.

This is why I hate replay in every sport....the fuck up replay as much as they fuck up on field-ice-etc calls to begin with.

Even before that OT goal, that was probably one of Toews' most complete games in quite a while. Great game by him and somehow an even better game by Crawford tonight who had to come up huge numerous times. Wild are a deep, deep team and they showed it tonight but Crawford was up to the task.
