From 2005-2014 there have been 27 QBs drafted in the first round of which 9 became very good-to-elite starting quarterbacks for more than 1 season.

There were 15 picked in the second round, of which 3 became very good to elite starters.

Round 1 investment: 33%
Round 2 investment: 20%

Chance of Romo being healthy and very good to elite for 2 seasons: 70% per year = 50%

Look, I know I haven’t done Monday Night Football in over a decade, but all this Romo to Bears buzz has got me going. Now, I don't want to get off on a rant here, but I have had enough of this Romo is fragile talk. Look, I know Tony. After riding pine last year, Tony's back is more limber than a Prozac-popping June Cleaver hot-tubbing with Mother Teresa. What are the other options? You think Jay is gonna finally put down those cigarettes? He's so dim-witted he makes Werner Klemperer look like Werner von Braun. We saw Matt Barkley, he was shakier than a Jenga tower on a jackhammer. I think he said I'll throw it to the other team just to see a catch. Hoyer couldn't throw to Jeffery in the endzone last season if it was a life preserver to his best friend. And the holes in the arguments for Garoppolo make the crack in the Liberty Bell look like the Gobi desert. Then you look at the draft. The so-called expert opinions on the draft quarterback prospects are like a Sherpa jury panel at the all-Nepal hash-brownie bake-off. You have no idea what you’re gonna find there. Am I right people? Romo is coming to Chicago. Start blow-drying Teddy Koppel’s hair, 'cause this one’s done.

Of course, that's just my opinion. I could be wrong.
