They didn't get that much for him so if the Bulls were ever interested maybe they offered less.

The Kings are currently, and that could change daily, in 11th so the Bulls would get the top 10 protected pick. FINALLY

But does this trade mean the Kings are tanking or did they get rid of a selfish player who they thought was holding them back?

I think short term the Kings will improve their record by subtracting Cousins, along with his technical fouls and ejections. The other players will feel they can contribute more and don't have to defer to the superstar and the guys they just got will see that they might not be sticking with the Kings so they want to look like better role players to other teams.

Kings will do just bad enough for us not to get their pick so GarPax will look that much more incompetent.

My son is a huge Kings fan with seasons tickets and he says he is going to sell the rest of the season. If the Kings would have waited until the deadline they could have done much better than a 2017 first round pick and a bunch of guards.

I'm just getting a kick out of all the kids calling them 'twin towers'.

hint: In the NBA, two starting 7-footers(as listed) are twin towers. ie: 7'4": Ralph Samson and 7'0" Hakeem Olajuwon. Not 6'11" and 6'10" or two players that play C starting, or whatever nonsense.

The NBA doesn't have good 7 footers anymore so the kids don't know the difference

No problem. Use some of those creative juices and come up with a suitable term.

Hell, they could call them Crunch N Munch for all I care. But they aren't twin towers.

we are the big losers as usual.

Kings are worse now and tanking to ensure the #11 pick converts to a second rounder owed in this years draft. Thats right, Garpax got a second rounder 4 years from now for Deng.

I keep forgetting about that top-10 protected pick. Hopefully the lottery balls drop in our favor.

Vladi showed he has no business being in the FO by admitting they had a better deal last week and turned it down. Watch the same happen with Butler.

Except that Hakeem was 6'10

That is why I said -> as listed. Go ahead, re-read, it has been there the whole time in my post.

Hakeem was 6'10 3/4" according to some measurements and 7'0 1/2" without shoes according to others. Height fluctuates throughout the day. Hakeem was a legit 7 footer, and that was his official listing. Therefore him and Sampson were twin towers according to definition.

That was some funny shit

Unless it was ownership pushing this trade over the other one
