Pick whatever cliche you like, they're likely in effect tonight: playoff-like atmosphere, potential Cup preview, etc. Both teams know that this game isn't really all that important, with each franchise sitting comfortable in a playoff spot (although PIT does have seeding to compete for). But sometimes, near the end of the regular season, you get two really good teams on the ice and they give you a game that reminds you of why you started watching this sport in the first place. All-Stars will be over the nice in both sweaters and the atmosphere at the UC should have an extra edge to it this evening. Here's hoping both teams deliver the performance we know they're capable of. For the Hawks, Darling is in net with Crawford still out and Hjammer has been placed on IR retroactive to February 23, so he's out as well. Trevor Daley and Olli Maatta highlight the injuries for Pittsburgh, as Kris Letang and Conor Sheary could be back tonight. When it's reported, you'll see an update here. Get ready for what could be a fun night.

LET'S GO HAWKS!!

I'm so jacked for this game tonight. It's going to have that playoff feel to it. Good test to see how this winning streak stands up against an EC powerhouse. I'm guessing overtime...

So is this one of the "rivalry games" NBC tries to push? In the early 90's, maybe it was but...

I like that 3rd line lot. Hope to see Jurco have another strong game.

Two games on tonight and the other one is Car/TB...I think NBC made the right choice for "Rivalry Night". Let's all just be happy that there is hockey on TV considering how it was in the not so distant past.

Jurco crying about being a RW already I see. Hartman has been here and is a bit wiser...give me a Hossa.

The thing about the penalty kill...really...is the only thing that might save it is if you said "here...have a Charra."
