Could be another pretty good matchup for the Hawks tonight, with the Atlantic Division-leading Montreal Canadiens playing host in Quebec tonight. Montreal's got three main things to be concerned with: captain (and American-born!) Max Pacioretty's 33 goals, Shea Weber's limb-severing slapper, and Carey Price in net. If the Hawks can find a way to handle those three things, two more points should be attainable. The Central Division race is as close as it's been in months and the Wild face the league-leading Capitals in Washington tonight, so there could be ground gained available for the Hawks this evening.

LET'S GO HAWKS!!

I recall some people acting out cause they lost a few early in the return of Julien time but they got a strong last 10 Hanes record now.

I guess the Hawks will remain undefeated with me making the IGT's. I retire at 1-0.

Crawford in net (duh).

Schmaltz-Toews-Panik
Panarin-Anisimov-Kane
Hartman-Kero-Hossa
Rasmussen-Kruger-Tootoo

Looks like Jurco gets sent to the press box. Also Q hinted at changing up the D pairings, but no idea how those will shake out until gametime.

Ah yes, we must do the "Maybe... it would be better.... if Oduya.... played with Seabrook" that Q seemed to do every year.

I think the other part is Q just doing his usual fucking around with the lineup that he's always done during the regular season so he has knowledge of what every possible grouping looks like heading into the playoffs.

My first thought was..."fuck, their goes the season."

Then I remembered how I actually typed the words on a daily lines chat today "wow...both teams are going to be 100% healthy at gametime in a march meeting with nobody on the books in LTIR and everybody dressed! I've never seen that before."

I had the thought something like this would happen right after I said it. Fuck me.

My third thought was...

"Blessing in disguise. SUPERpak is the best line in the league, but this merely forces us to form the Star Wars Laser all time wtf my god help us all line.

Get used to Panarin-Toews-Kane, and may the Universe have mercy on the league.

And my fourth thought was...

Hayden just got here. He'll be in next week.

Next game.

Smaltz-Toews-Panik
Panarin-Kruger-Kane
Hartman-Kero-Hossa
Desjardins-Hayden-Jurco

Playoffs, god forbid its more than a bad ankle sprain...

Panarin-Toews-Kane

Hossa-Hayden-Panik

Smaltz-Kero-Hartman

Desjardins-Kruger-Hino

But with the way Q is going to scramble for answers and look at young guys the next 3 weeks who the hell knows what happens.

Don't expect Hayden to play center. Apparently he was only playing RW in college.

Also, nice work by the Hawks to grab a 2-0 lead with the Wild currently down 3-0 to the Caps.

no goal goal.

Puck was caught in the tip of the skate. invisible. across the line, unprovable. net came off first anyway.

Really? I guess we gotta wait to develop him or Smaltz into that but this injury may accelerate Smaltz into that role unfortunately, or force us to do 72-19-88 or not have a Hossa third line anymore. balls.
