The only team in the NHL that's been officially eliminated from playoff contention is the Hawks' guest at the United Center tonight. It's crazy to think that, a few months ago, there were people (pointing a finger at myself here) saying that the division race was just about a lost cause for the Hawks. And here we are, with the Hawks five points clear of the Wild and a trio of Western Conference bums on their way to 1901 W. Madison for the Hawks to open that gap even more. It's Colorado tonight, with less-than-intimidating teams like Vancouver and Dallas next in line. Don't stop now boys!

And the Wild just fell behind 3-0 to Winnipeg in the first period of their game tonight. Hawks could open up that gap even more tonight.

Fuckin Avs so good about taking any good vibes away. Just like when they ended Kane's point streak last year. Gonna see some line blending going on in the third for sure.

Well the Hawks got a bad call I'm the same situation play bad vs them against the wild, but the Hawks got lucky and then just let the avalanche go..

Goddam that was fun, wasn't it? Won't get too excited about a two-goal comeback against the worst team in the league (by a mile) but I'll be damned if third-period comebacks aren't the best way to win

Technically it was a delayed offsides. But as long as toews touches up before the puck it touched then it is an onsides play. And it looked like that is exactly what happened
