Depends on the cost:

No injuries and 2nd seed in the Central vs. President's trophy and a key guy going down like Paris Hilton trying to get out of a DUI? I'll take the 2nd seed.

This is true.

But along with the honor of getting the Presidents' Trophy, there's a pretty significant benefit that helps the Hawks: last change more often throughout the whole playoffs. And should they make the Final against a team like Pittsburgh or Washington, Q being able to dictate the terms of the matchups could go a long way towards helping the Hawks get No. 4.

We don't need the Presidents or home ice or anything else. Put us in as the 8th seed and we're still hoisting the Cup.

Whoever wants some - come and get it. Minnesota wants none, I guarantee it.

There's 16 teams in the playoffs. Of course the odds aren't with the President Trophy winner.
