I don't hate this signing. Sanchez's odds of playing are very slim. His window to play will be in the 1st 3-4 weeks of the season if Glennon gets hurt and the Bears deem the QB, they certainly better draft, to not be ready yet. After that, it goes Glennon to the rookie and then you have Sanchez there as a capable backup to a young guy.....same thing he was in Dallas last year.

This mean moves nothing as far as their likelihood to draft a QB. This move just says that they aren't putting too much on Connor Shaw. While Shaw has promise, he's still a guy with 0 real experience, that looked decent vs. 3rd and 4th stringers in preseason before tearing up his leg.

Fantastic signing. Sanchez is the perfect QB to back up Glennon because he isn't a threat to win a competition and make the big money deal look worse than it does.

It's still a WTF signing, imo. We just gave Shaw a 1 year contract, signed Glennon and now Sanchez. Are we going to carry all of them?

Nah. Shaw looks mediocre or comes back slow from injury, he's stashed on the practice squad. Shaw looks great again, Sanchez can be cut (assuming this isn't a big guaranteed $ deal).
