I had heard Almora was in the lineup and Baez was out. Any way you slice it, someone good is sitting. Nice problem to have.

I was surprise to see Yankees/rays started the season at noon.
I thought the Cubs and Cards started the season because I figured like other sports the previous champion starts off the new season.

I see your point on deference to the champs. I am more surprised they have games before the Cubs than I do with the Cubs on the road. It's just ESPN and $ changing everything. Teams never started on Sunday in years past.
And, in general, I think Sunday is a really bad night for a baseball game. Last game of a series ending at night? And for fans who want to travel from out of town - like Cubs and Cards fans in Illinois - if you plan weekend trips for the series, playing Sunday night can eff things up. (Not today, but in other weekend series)
Oh well, it's here to stay, so no use worrying about it now.
