The 7/8th seed bubble schedule.

Indiana hosts Atlanta 7PM
Miami hosts Washington 7PM

Simplified clinch scenario:
Bulls win or Miami loses = Playoffs.
Pacers lose + Bulls win, regardless of Miami, Bulls take 7th seed.

Bulls lose + Miami wins = Bulls gone fishing.

Everyone loses, no change. Bulls remain 8th seed.

If the Bulls get the 7th seed then maybe we can at least make LeBron and the Cavs work.

I guess.

Never been so disappointed to make the playoffs.

If this were Philly, Sixer fans would be rioting the streets.

Man, we don't even get the privilege of getting beat by LeBron this time around. That's much disappoint. Instead we get to see a bunch of highlights from the 2009 series.

I actually think the Bulls can win, but maybe I'm just overly optimistic

ehh 5 unless Jimmy goes MJ
Probably but at least there's an embarrassment factor if we get swept. Not that GarPax will be affected because all hail making the playoffs.

On Undisputed today, Skip says the Cavs dodged a bullet because he believes the Bulls would have beaten the Cavs in the first round

I think it's an interesting matchup, myself. The Bulls played them to a fairly competitive 2-2 record this season. There is also a bunch of interesting side stories, imo. Rondo looking to prove something to his former team. Jimmy and the many trade rumors of him being traded to Boston. And Wade, remember he pretty much carried Miami in the playoffs last year. Wade has more extreme playoff experience than Boston's entire team.

Boston is shy on playoff experience with only two players actually having played in the 2nd round of the playoffs, Horford being one of them. The Bulls also have a big rebounding advantage being 3rd in the NBA, and Boston 4th from last. The Bulls can pound them on the boards. The Bulls also have a 2% better 2 pt % than Boston, with Boston having a 2% better 3 pt %.

Boston clearly goes when Isiah Thomas goes, but if the Bulls find a way to slow him down, it could be very interesting. Finally, all the pressure is going to be on the Celtics. If they drop a game right away at home to the Bulls, Wade and Butler's playoff experience could smell blood.

And if the Bulls can actually pull off the upset, they will have a pretty winnable 2nd round matchup as well. Imagine the Bulls and Cavs in the ECF's?

Boston was certainty a better match up for us than Cleveland. would be nice if we atleast got a 2009-like performance to make this team/series interesting.

Boston is already trying to take the "Us against the World" attitude to rally the team. They are letting the media get to them, imo, and trying to build a chip on their shoulder because of it. If the Bulls can get an early win, I could see that 'confidence' waiver a little bit. Here's a sample of what they are saying:
"Nobody gives us our due. We're the No. 1 seed, and then they say we're one of the worst No. 1 seeds. If anybody else was the No. 1 seed, it'd be like: 'They might get to the Finals.' It's always something, but we try not to worry about that stuff and just try to take care of business on the court."
Here's the article I referenced.
