162 games boys. Baseball is an art and a grind not a sprint. Let it shape. This team is still so good and I think in the end better than last year. I think our BP is much stronger and the bats are alive. Our pitching last year was a once in a decade starting staff. I love this team. Baez gets hot with weather. Rizzo is smack dab in his prime. I mean up and down our lineup is scary. We have balance, power, OBP, and contact. This team may not win it because its baseball but our team is built for years.

Cubs bullpen has given up 23 ER in 67.1 IP for a 3.07 ERA. Grimm and Dunesing gave up 13 ERs meaning the other guys have an ERA of 1.75 over 51.1 IP. I think that is good. Edwards and Davis haven't allowed a run. Uehara gave up 2. Strop gave up 4. Rondon's given up 1 and Montgomery gave up 3

Edwards/Rondon/Davis. 7-9th guys: 1 ER in 16 2/3

2 main MR Montgomery/Uehara 5 ER in 20 1/3

3 left Strop/Duensing/Grimm 17 ER in 22 1/3

You really can see the break down.

1st group in save situations.

2nd group getting to the 7th with the lead.

3rd group when not in a save situation or behind.

Things should balance out more as the season progresses but until that happens.

Watched the Cards and Blue Jays.

Good lord, what bad baseball.

Cards made 4 errors and a would-be passed ball that came right back to Yadi and saved a run.

Yadi allows Coghlan to flip over him and score.

Blue Jays blow 2 run 7th inning lead and 1 run 9th inning lead and out tying run on 2nd in 11th with passed ball.

Terrible baseball. Even in the win, one can see why Blue Jays were 5-14.

Crazy game baseball is. We get only 2 hits and 1 run on an error, yet we won the game.

Thames isn't getting himself out anymore. Give him the Harper treatment and see if he gets impatient and finally gives in.

He said that he is on the right track now but not locked in. His fastball picked up to 87 vs 85 which means a lot when his change is 78 on avg. I'm thinking he just needs to dial in on pin pointing his location now vs worrying about his velocity

With the green monster it negates much of the range issues going on. What they need is some one who knows how to play the wall. I'm thinking they will put Zo in LF for the series. He has more years in the AL where he would know the wall better. Jay I doubt factors much. I'd give CF to Almora.

The Russell SO I thought was borderline. But, Contreras got 5 balls and swung at another.

Of coarse they make the Cubs pay nearly immediately.

But
Schwarber not playing the fly ball good and missing the cutoff hasn't helped
