Any interest in a little contest to make Thursday (even more) interesting?
Here's what I'm thinking.
- All draft game participants will submit a complete 1st round mock draft - must be locked in before the official start of the draft.
- Draft prediction game is more concerned with WHERE a player is drafted on Thursday as opposed to to WHICH TEAM. This way we don't have to concern ourselves with the unpredictability of trades between teams.
- Scoring is based on where a player is mocked to be drafted versus where he is actually drafted. Each draft slot is worth 100 points for a potential 3200 point perfect round. If a player is mocked by a participant to be drafted at #8 overall and he is, in actuality, drafted at #12 overall, that user would be awarded 60 points (-10pts per draft position slipped). Negative points are possible, assuming a player drops more than 10 spots from the position originally predicted.
- Participants would keep track of their own scores (someone is always welcome to be the official scorer, if they'd like to take on that particular responsibility/hassle).
