I think they're going to draft Nate Peterman.

So, I will say ....

Thomas or a trade down in round 1, and they draft Peterman as the QB.

Other than that it's a total crapshoot so I wouldn't even venture to guess.

Not what I want, but that's what I think will happen.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
Jonathan Allen DE or Malik Hooker S
Dan Feeney G
Nathan Peterman QB
Desmond King CB
Jeremy Sprinkle TE
Zane Gonzalez K
Lorenzo Jerome S

There is no one here the I absolutely love or absolutely hate, and that is how I fell about all of Pace's FA signing and previous draft picks when he made them.

You can't pick two, one or the other.

Trade downs don't matter in this, only thing that matter is the player the bears pick first, then second, etc etc. no points for guessing "trade down".

I think the bears are hoping someone will trade with them but still be in the top 5-10 if Garrett doesn't fall to them.
I believe the top 3 are KIzer/Adams/Allen

All this talk of pink cards and red cards and the commitment to BPA leads me to believe they are not going QB at 3 and they are probably concerned about Hooker, Allen and Lattimore to varying degrees. I would imagine at least one of those guys is off the board depending on how the doctors rate their chances of being injury-free.

So I think it's either Solomon Thomas or Jamal Adams, whoever gets past SF. I hope it's Jamal Adams so I'll go with him although I'd be good with Thomas if Fangio signs off on him.

There's a chances we could see a few trade downs and obviously that would radically change things. As things stand, it's probably the only way Pace takes a QB worth a damn so that's where my hope lies.

I'd love Engram at 36 but the draft literally never goes the way I want it to and this year looks no different so my prediction is...

Adams
CB
Peterman

Hate the Peterman puck so hopefully he goes between 36 and our third round pick.

The worst case scenario with Solomon Thomas -

Floyd has recurring concussion issues and misses a lot of time. Thomas struggles outside setting the edge and turns out to be much better as a penetrating inside rusher in sub packages.

2018 comes around and the team is pressured into spending a third straight high pick on a pass rusher.

And there's still no QB.

Well that's because 2019 is a bumper crop for passers!
