All WNBA jokes aside, anyone follow it?

Del Donne was so fundamentally elite and a good player to watch period, it wasn't too bad. Plus, she was easy on the eyes which helps a lot from a guys perspective. Now that she is traded and the Sky are searching for an identity, it's not as good after 3 games. Makes you wonder if the ladies are the only pro basketball team in Chicago that can win anything for the foreseeable future.

Part of the reason why I ask, that trade was a blockbuster deal, as far as WNBA goes, and yet, nobody is talking about it. Seems they are willing to make moves and take risks. It's actually pretty interesting from the perspective of an armchair GM-type fan.

I've been to exactly one Sky game. A girl I dated at the time took me there. I have not watched them since, and this was probably in 2010.

Incidentally, after having another boyfriend after dating me she realized she was a lesbian.

yeah...she wanted to be closer to home. Wanted to take care of a family member.
Guess I'm not surprised. Her sister has CP and she's always wanted to be closer to home to care for her.

I follow them...Javale Magee's sister is on the team...and I will reserve any opinion about the team until Vandersloot and Quigley start playing, they are in the Turkish League now...

I do. Interned for them in the 2009 season and still keep tabs on the team since that summer.

They really didn't have much of a choice in the EDD trade but they're going to struggle to replace her for years. She was the MVP in '15 ... you can't get that value back in a trade.

To your point, Crys, it was a blockbuster deal, but only because EDD initiated the deal. As others mentioned, she wanted to be closer to her family, especially her sister who has special needs. This isn't something that the Sky GM did to shake things up with the team.

Apparently they got the #2 pick in the draft in return so I guess that's about as much as you could've hoped for in return for a superstar caliber player.

And a top-4 Center. The Sky actually got a lot in return.

I always forget you interned there. If you ever can, share some stories about it. Sounds interesting enough, even if someone doesn't like the WNBA.

And yeah, I know she *had to* move for family, but still sucks as a basketball fan. IMO there are around a handful of women ever to compete at the highest womens level in whatever era that made the ladies game worth watching. She is one of them.

Delle Donne was an interesting "hot or not" topic...perhaps her hotness was elevated in relation to other WNBA hotties, who I can only think of one (Lindsay Whalen).

Personally...I think Skylar Diggins and Maya Moore are beautiful. And yes...I think Elena is a nice looking girl.

If you like babes though why wouldn't you just watch porn or volleyball?

If you want to see incredible female athletes whose bodies are poetry in motion for the amazon class, WNBA. Its a different kind of beauty, and hey we all have different types. I like me some amazon from time to time but I watch WNBA for the skill.

I tried watching it over the summer since I'm a basketball junkie and I hate baseball. After about 10 minutes, I couldn't do it. It's a joke. So many missed open layups and just bad play.

I'm pretty sure if you take the better teams in the WNBA and played them against top high school boys teams, they'd get smashed.
