Did somebody say this should be an easy win and sweep for the Cubs..

3 games vs. Padres
Hendricks 3.25 ERA vs Cosart 4.50 ERA

Guess which team losing 5-2

Guess which team 1-8 RISP

Guess which team left 8 men on base

This team just don't have it this year

I heard that too. The point is if the Cubs can't hit they are not gonna win. They have been even struggling against average to below average starting pitching. Bats need to wake up!

I'm at the game. Feels like there were no SD ball caps at the start. Think they swapped hats after the granny

Nothing is working between pitching, hitting and defense, Cozart was struggling really bad and we couldn't get a big hit. Now Kyle, Kris and Riz, we have to put something on the board here

Cosart looked like crap at the start. There was no reason why they shouldn't have hung him out early on. Javy has looked really bad. Swinging like a wild man vs controlled swings. Heyward looks like he is going to break out. He was putting on a show in BP.

Over all not bad. Kyle just has been going 79 change and 89 2 seem. They figured him out. I'm not really a fan of him going away from the curve. It might be because he is matching up with Miguel this year. Contreras got him to trust that pitch.

He needs that 3rd pitch because he is not blowing guys away

Bases loaded again and of course the Cubs fail to get runs in. The biggest problem this team has right now.

Looks like the league has already figured out Happ. They have been making short work of him every time he's up there lately. Time for him to make the adjustment.

Padres gave up 10 walks and we only score two runs?!?!?! Got to be a record maybe? How bad is that? Left 11 players on base. Same story like in the Dodgers series. Looks like any team with their 5th starter would beat this team. They look awful.

Thanks, Theo. Old starting pitching and no real plan for a leadoff hitter. Better luck next year.

I left the game after Hand got Heyward. That AB was the turning point in the game and Hand is proving that he could be a big trade chip for them.

Stranding 11 was the downfall. They need to start stringing hits vs waiting for the long ball.

I get why they started Baez today with Hendricks on the hill you expect the ball on the ground but right now he looks like crap at the the plate. Watching one AB he let 3 border pitches go by and swung at 3. Cosart never got a called strike and Javy struck himself out vs taking first.

I'm at the point with him that I doubt he will ever change and he will cost more big innings vs save them.

Baez showed systemic immaturity as a potential lifelong personality trait last year, should have sold high with Happ in the system, Zobrist here now.

Schwrber belomgs in the American leaugue.

Fowler belongs on the Cubs.

Arrieta is losing $5,000,000 every time he takes the mound.

Hendricks has bad omen analytics.

The second Heyward raises an eyebrow anywhere in the league he should be traded even swallowing 30% of the cash....would be lucky to get that.

Well, they did it. It barely matters and is fixable. I'm as surprised it fell apart this quick as I am the Sox actually got young and turned around so quick.
