Here's a fun stat. Schwarber has 30 hits this season. 9 of them are HRs. Also 7 of them are doubles. So over half of his hits are extra bases. Seems to strike me that he's been rather unlucky with singles though you'd have to dig further into the data to see exactly what's going on there. As a reference point here, Rizzo has 8 doubles and 12 homers. Bryant is at 13 doubles a triple and 12 hrs.
Just shows he swings hard and it's all or nothing and it's been mostly nothing..

The shift kills a lot of what could be regular singles in hole or up middle.

His doubles I'm going to guess most are down RF line and hit over 1Bmen head..

Probably has a couple bunt singles and late swings that went towards left...

Like Lester getting that P.O. today
Schwarber needs to go to left more often like he did with his HR and beat that shift..

Gotta stop trying to yank everything to RF..

The shift has killed his small game. If his walks were at 12% it would be a push.

Eventually he is going to have to bunt to the open 3B line if they are giving it to him. Enough of those will force teams to respect the bunt and nix their game plan.

I for one blame your lack of posting. Clearly all your fault.

Eh, I'm really busy and the anger after the World Series win doesn't intrigue me. I'm still a Baez fanboy doe

We should hit with Wacha on the mound. Wind blowing in though. Still think we are gonna get runs.

2 bad games on row for Hendricks..
Padres got him for 5 in 5 innings...

Just can't get anything going consistently with this team..
Why their.500

They need a spark in the rotation and the bats..
Someone that just gets them going

What was up with that throw from Happ? Pathetically weak. Does he have the arm needed to play OF?

This is one of the reasons I was so high on Almora when others haven't been. He's the epitome of a baseball player. He may not have the talent of some of the other young cubs as a hitter but he's someone you just look at and say that kid belongs playing baseball. Big time baseball IQ guy.

Not much different from his scouting report. He has always been a high floor, low ceiling guy. The majors always need that.
