I think a split is likely but a series win is not hard to see the way the team has been playing.

It comes down to the pitching digging a hole. I don't see any of their pitchers shutting down the O. But they only can do so much.

Hoping for a split..

Not sure what were going to see from our starters or if our hitters will go silent or not..
Cubs could easily get swept

Probably won't see Russell this weekend, wouldn't surprise me if he goes on some kind of list to deal with his personal stuff.

The Cubs are playing their best ball of the season right now but the Rockies are a very good team and surprisingly can pitch. A series win goes a long way towards showing the team has truly rounded a corner.

In his last 5 games Schwarber has slashed .308/.438/.923, Rizzo is at .381/.500/.367 in his last 6, pretty nice numbers. Almora, Jay, Happ and Heyward have all been good as well. Let's hope they keep it up.

Kyle Hendricks to the DL retroactive to Monday, sore right hand. Montgomery starting tomorrow. Seth Frankhoff called up from Iowa.

The DL stint should be short. Maybe missing 1 start. The way he is pitching right now this should be a non issue.

If Montgomery pitches a strong game it could impact Butler.

Frankoff has deserved a shot and I'm wondering who ends up cut on the 40 man.

Anderson was moved to 60 day DL to make room for Frankoff

Doubt they give up on him yet. He has a .207 BAA. SO/BB are good. He has taken his lumps like the rest.

Yeah I agree, Rockies can rake. Cubs bats are gonna need to come alive this weekend.

As each game goes by I'm getting less interested in watching these guys play..
This offense can be like watching paint dry
