They need to sweep or take 2 of 3 at very least, otherwise their in more trouble then we think...

Right direction. If he can somewhat sustain that BA and not expecting the OBA or SLG. Maybe .370/.500

Strange way of making 3 outs..

Single turned into a force out..

Double play ball, only got one..

Double turned into an out trying for 3rd..

Also crazy..

Homerun that wasnt...

I feel like Butler is an all-star caliber pitcher every other start and a 4A starter the other one.

I will say this about Schwarber defense so far this season..
He has made some tough catches out there..

They had Schwarber on ESPN radio today..
They mentioned his oppo the other day and asked him if he and Mallee work on going the other way to try and beat the shift and all..

Schwarber said he doesn't work on it all and don't consider it.. he says he just goes up there and try to pull the ball as hard as he can..

He did say it kinda sucks with the shift, when you hit one that normally falls in but it caught..

Which is fine but with that shift now, unless it goes over the fench, he has to hope the ball finds a hole between 5 defenders on that right side..

Say he hits 30 bombs, and say 30 balls fall in for hits on the left side after swinging late.. he going to need 90 balls to find a hole on right side over 600 ABs to hit 250..
Seems like a lot to hope for when your set on pulling everything into that shift..

Just looked at his game logs..
He actually been better then I thought he has..

He had 6 starts and really only 2 bad ones..

His 2nd game against Brewers he had control issues and walked 5 over 3 IP giving up 2 runs..

Against the Padres he got rocked for 6 runs in 4.1 IP..


Other 4 starts..
6 IP 0 runs
5 IP 1 run
5.2 IP 1 run
5 IP 3 runs- last start against Rockies

Tonight so far 5+ IP 1 Run

Hopefully as he goes along he can get further into games and go at least 6 consistently..

Waited too long to pull Butler..

Bats need to quit screwing around and score some runs..
Tired of watching them go cold after scoring a couple early and struggle to produce runs unless someone goes yard..

Sad state of the NL Central over the last month and why the mediocre Cubs are lucky to be in that division this year..

Only the Braves Padres Giants and Phillies are under .500
