MCW was part of a very underwhelming rookie class. Have you ever heard of Nick Calathes? Neither have I, but he was a better floor shooter than MCW the same year, and had a higher win share. He finished tied for 7th in ROY voting that year.
I actually have heard of Nick Calathes, but I think it's only because he plays for some European national team and there was some story about that when he was drafted.

NBA has done away with home and away jerseys.

Home teams now choose whatever they like, and opponents must select a contrasting jersey.

Kyrie Irving demanded a trade in a meeting last week because he no longer wants to play with lebron.

Spurs are his preferred destination, but also added the Knicks, Twolves and Heat as destinations he'd like to go to. Bulls would have been one of his preferred had Jimmy not been traded.

I don't like the trade for Boston. Cleve did good especially if Lebron leaves which I think he is

Very good trade for Cleveland, and will make Kyrie happy. Kyrie gets to be the leading man on a contending team. I give Cavs the edge in the East, but I am excited for a potential Lebron vs. Kyrie Cleveland-Boston East Finals.

For Boston, I don't really get it. The argument is that Isaiah is older(28) and is still recovering from a hip injury, I guess. Kyrie is a more complete offensive player too arguably, I'm just not sure if that difference is worth Jae+a 1st round pick.

I feel like Ainge could have gotten another Cavs player in return(throw in Thompson?). That would have made the deal a little less uneven.

Boston wasn't willing to part with Brooklyn's pick for Butler, but they gave up that pick, IT4 and Crowder for Irving?

Are you fucking shitting me?!

Boston was just not going to give Thomas that max deal he is looking for. A 4 foot point guard tells you to back up the brinks truck, even though he might have lost a step from the hip injury. I dont care how good Thomas is in the fourth quarter, he is not worth 35 million a year average. He wont get that from Cleveland either, but we will watch LeRoy force him to get a deal like he did with Thompson before telling the cavs if he is resigning. As far as Thompson, that would help the cavs more than anything. He can be a game changer but that is big Lebron money there.

What a win by the new cleveland GM. Not only two potential starters, a back up center Cleveland needs and the possible first choice next year when the top 3 will all be stars. This while we sit here with garpax.

IT4 wanted a max deal from Boston, a 5'9" PG isn't worthy of a max deal. I'm a Celtics fan and love IT4 to death but Irving is the prototypical PG teams cherish now. The Cavs might win the East next year but once LeBron bolts to the west the East will be the Celtics for years to come.

Yea, I suppose the max deal would be an issue, especially for someone like Thomas who I think already is overrated and has probably reached his apex. Kyrie still has two years left, then will probably opt out and look for max as well.

If Lebron moves West after this year, Celtics are the favorite in the East moving forward. We'll see what happens with that.

I can see where Ainge is coming from. Maybe not sure if Kyrie is the answer, but who knows. Stevens is one of my favorite coaches in the NBA, he is at least good enough to make these new pieces better than they normally would have been under the average NBA coach.

IT is arguably the worst defender in the NBA. So if you make it to the finals and play the Warriors. That's a difference of Steph being a 42/12/5 performer and a 28/8/4 performer. I think the Celtics are booking on that logic to justify this trade. They hope Kyrie can do more than microwave. The real question, is Kyrie going to be a diva now, or is he going to grow up enough to be that player. After all, Kyrie did learn from the biggest diva in NBA history.
