Cubs should be up 5, and may be headed for a loss.

Two chances left. At least now a HR helps.

Who are 2 players none of us would of probably had in top 5 at beginning of season..

Russell was pulled with a right shoulder discomfort. Javy most likely becomes the full time SS now until this passes. Injury bug is creeping in.

Can't trust these bats to be consistent ...
In June
4 runs or more 12 times
3 runs less 10 times
1 or 0 4 times
2 runs today

Part of why I just can't feel totally confidence in them going on a long streak.. too much up and down

Another example of the inconsistency of the bats..

Rizzo had an up and mostly down for him year hitting. 261 now..

He just had a hot streak and we all thought ok, he back to being rizzo.. GLOHOAT

He 3 for last 18 now

These guys are too good of hitters not to go on a good streak, but for whatever reason this season, they can't get hot and then just be consistent..
Instead they've been going stone cold right after

It's almost half way through the season and the cubs still look very mediocre. The cubs have way too much talent to be at .500. Very frustrating.

I said split.. They split

Nothing about this team right now gives me confidence their going to pull away from being a .500 team..
Still feel their no more then a 80-85 win team as I said last week

Rizzo was on fire for 6 weeks. After he had a game where he looked ordinary he got a rest. He's got a 1.000 OPS, .414 wOBA and 157 wRC+ in his last 30 games. I actually though sitting him a day was a good idea. Look there's no question this is a frustrating team, they're 6-4 in their last 10 and were right there in the 4 losses. Doesn't change my mind that they're playing better baseball. I keep thinking that has to lead to a hot stretch, especially as good as the starting pitching has been lately with a quality start nearly every game, but I have no answers.

6 weeks ?

From May 16 to May 25 he was hitting good going 12 - 31 .387

Then

He went 6-35 .171 from May 26 to June 5th..

Then

June 6th to June 19th 21-51 .411..

Now

Last 6 games 3 for 18 .166



Him getting a day off don't bother me...

I'm just looking for these guys to stop going stone cold for 25 + AB , after it looks like their turning it around...
Just stay steady and not fall completely off..
Too much inconsistency in their hitting all year..

Not that matters much, Addi hasn't been worth of much this season.

Rizzo has usually been a hot and cold guy. Couple weeks he's hitting couple weeks he's not.
