We almost traded Butler for Dunn last year. They thought hard on it. With him pushing his way out, and it clearly being dunn here in Chicago with Jimmy, and him being a malcontent little me first premadonna drama bitch, they got their guy. (Dunn)

Throw in Lavine and move up to 7 where this pick will be interesting. If they believe in Valentine, they can take a premeire big. If not, Monk and some others in play. I don't think its the worst trade ever. Dunn was the big cost here, that took all the future picks out of equation. He is a two way player, and his success or lack of will determine this trades value.

Personally, I think the player at 7 has a chance to be significantly better than at 16 too. We are now in the better than usual second tier of the draft.

Stop manufacturing drama. Butler didn't force his way out.

I am so fucking frustrated right now.

Do we still have 8 point guards?

Well, in a few short years, GarPax has turned around the franchise.

From contender-lite, to watching the playoffs from the couch.

Remind why they are employed.

The Bulls have an uncanny ability to draft role players with no real upside.

We got a really good dunker, a PG who hasn't looked good at all in the NBA and a stretch 4 for Jimmy and the 16th pick.

Tony Snell
Doug McDermott
Denzel Valentine
Lauri Markannenn

Horrible.

Can this "shooting big" actually shoot? Because apparently we're not getting toughness or shot-blocking so he better at least be able to shoot. I can't deal with another Niko.

Fuck yes! Was going to post this before the selection: I hope we select Markanen, IMO, the worst possible pick, one step closer to the bottom of the Association and a regime change. Rock bottom is in sight, this team is officially a bunch of scrubs.

The tickets sell out but the attendance is half full. This team is a dumpster fire. Somehow even less interesting than the Bears. Now that is saying something.

The GarPax regime:

14 years in the making...
-11 Playoff Appearances
-7 first round exits
-3 Semifinals Exits
-1 Conference Finals

There is one other GM in the league with similar success as GarPax. Washington's Ernie Grunfield. Came in the same time as Paxson, has 7 playoff appearances, 3 1st round exits and 4 2nd round exits. Also beat Paxson's Bulls twice in the 1st round of the playoffs. Times the Bulls were also favored. Grunfield is weak at drafting, but has had numerous success in trading/signing free agents to make a playoff competitive team.

Any other GM in this league with that kind of tenure has had a lot more success with that team.
